Introduction

Shenyang University of Chemical Technology (SYUCT) has set up the International Chinese Teachers' Scholarship in cooperation with the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), recruiting 15 students in Chinese + Chemical Engineering and Technology (undergraduate) and 15 students in Chinese + International Economics and Trade (undergraduate). The Bachelor degree will be awarded upon completion of the undergraduate study program with satisfactory results; the duration of study is 4 years, and the language of instruction is Chinese.

I. Eligibility

Applicants should be non-Chinese citizen, in good physical and mental health and of good academic and behavioral standing. And the applicants should be aged between 18 and 25 years old up to 1 September 2023.

II. Application Requirements

Applicants should have a high school diploma and a minimum score of 210 on the HSK (Level 3).

III. Scholarship Coverage and Standard

The scholarship supports tuition, accommodation, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance. The students are entitled to an accommodation allowance of RMB 8,400 per person/year, a standard living allowance of RMB 2,500 per person/month and a comprehensive medical insurance of RMB 800 per person/year.

IV. Application Process

1. Login to cis.chinese.cn to register → Select “Cooperative Scholarship”→Host Institutions: Shenyang University of Chemical Technology (code 110149) → Upload application materials → Follow the application progress and emails (if the application materials do not meet the requirements, you need to resubmit) → After the application is approved, follow the emails and apply for admission → Report to the university as required.

2. Visit the International Student Service of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology (https://admission.syuct.edu.cn), register and submit application materials online.

VI. Application Materials

The applicants must fill in and provide the following materials truly and correctly:

1. Passport photo page.

2. Highest diploma (notarized). Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

3. Transcripts (notarized). Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

4. HSK score report (valid for two years).

5. A certificate of no criminal record.

6. Proof of financial security.

7. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (see Appendix 1 for blank forms and instructions) filled in English. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigner. Incomplete records or those without the seal on the perforation or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The medical examination results are valid for 6 months. Please confirm the time when the medical examination is taken.

8. Other supporting materials, such as letters of recommendation, award certificates, etc.

Note:

• Please upload the "Physical Examination Record for Foreigner" and the Certificate of No Criminal Record together with the scanned copy of the first page of your passport to the "Basic Information - Upload of Passport First Page" section of the application form on the website.

• Please upload all materials in JPG or PDF format.

   

  VII. Others

  1. Applicants must confirm the specific admission requirements and application deadlines before submitting application materials. Any progress of application will be sent to the applicant’s email address.

  2. Degree students shall accept the annual assessment according to the Annual Appraisal Procedures of International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship.

  3. Those who failed to register on time, failed to pass the health assessment, dropped out midway and/or suspended will be deprived of scholarship.

  4. Evaluation and Re-evaluation of Admission Qualifications: SYUCT will evaluate and re-evaluate students’ admission qualifications upon and after registration. If admission letters, personal information, or other documents are found to be inaccurate during the evaluations or if fraud, malpractice, and other similar circumstances exist, the student will be disqualified and admission will be canceled.
